Hello.

I'm Avong. I keep systems running — and build the products that run on them.

Who I Am

I'm an IT infrastructure engineer and product builder. I run the systems that keep a 210-person business online and I ship software with the rest of my time.

I work on both sides of a line most people never cross. On one side: uptime, identity, access control, the unglamorous plumbing that decides whether a business functions at all. On the other: products that have to survive contact with real users. Running infrastructure as a team of one teaches you to build things that don't need you standing next to them, documented, recoverable, boring in the right places. It also teaches you that shipping is the start of the job, not the end. The monitoring, the access reviews, the second version that fixes what the first one got wrong, that's most of the work, and it's the part I stay for.

What I Do

Two stacks that rarely meet — Microsoft infrastructure & product engineering. I work in the overlap.

Most infrastructure people can't ship a product. Most product engineers have never had to defend a permissions model or explain an outage. I've done both under real constraints, small budgets, no second engineer to check my work, and users who notice immediately when something is wrong.

01.IT Infrastructure & Administration

Identity and access, endpoint management, servers and networking, vendor coordination, and the daily triage that keeps a business from noticing IT at all — at 200+ user scale, run single-handed.

02.Microsoft 365 Solutions

SharePoint information architecture, Power Automate workflows, Entra ID identity design, and Microsoft Purview governance — including records systems with reference numbering, approval-gated promotion, and retention that holds up to an audit.

03.Product Engineering

Production applications in Next.js and TypeScript with Drizzle, Supabase and Vercel, plus cross-platform mobile in React Native and Expo shipped to real test cohorts. Built to load.

04.AI Features That Hold Up

LLM-powered functionality that does actual work: structured generation, constraint-aware recommendations, and the unglamorous parts that keep it alive in production — cost control, fallbacks, and knowing when not to call the model at all.

Selected Work

Products I own, systems I've built inside organisations, and client work. I use coding agents where they earn their place, and review everything that ships.

Nutriflex
AI Product

Nutriflex

Project Link

Nutrition, decoded for the African family. NutriFlex pairs AI with everyday food culture to give households across Nigeria — and beyond — a smarter, simpler way to eat well. No guesswork, no generic meal plans that ignore how people actually cook and eat. We're currently in testing, refining the experience with real families before a wider rollout. The full case study — product, tech, and the problem we're really solving — drops soon. Watch this space.

Corporate Records
Enterprise Systems

Corporate Records

Paperwork that files itself. A records system for a multi-company group, built so approved documents stop living in whoever's inbox last touched them. Every document gets a reference number the moment it's created, stays in its department while it's being worked on, and once approved gets promoted automatically into a single read-only records library, reference and metadata intact. SharePoint, Power Automate, Entra ID, Purview. No more shared-drive archaeology.

Jyen
B2B SaaS

Jyen

Work, made visible. Jyen is for teams who've watched a task disappear between a ticket, a WhatsApp thread and someone's memory. It comes out of years of being the person who had to go and find out what actually happened. The MVP is in build. Early teams still shape what's in it, that window closes when the first version ships.

RSVP / Voter Participation Drive
Civic Tech

RSVP / Voter Participation Drive

Project Link

A civic-tech platform for EiE Nigeria's campaign to register one million new voters across six South-West Nigerian states. I designed and built it end to end — a cinematic, animation-driven fundraising landing page fronting a bespoke content-management system, so a non-technical campaign team can rewrite any headline, swap any image, reorder the navigation, and publish entirely new pages without touching code or waiting on a developer.

Appraisal & Attendance
Internal Product

Appraisal & Attendance

Six branches, two countries, one record. A performance appraisal system for a multi-branch group, with a smart attendance layer built into it. Staff clock in and out from their phone — bound to a single registered device and fenced to the site's coordinates, so presence means presence. Appraisals run the full route on the same platform: appraisee, then line manager, then committee, with nothing stuck in an inbox waiting to be chased. Live across all six branches in Nigeria and Niger Republic. No paper forms, no buddy punching.

You're looking at it. This portfolio and klaes.io were vibe-coded end to end — spec, build, review, ship. The fastest way to judge how I work is to open dev tools.
